Charline's

Went and shot at a pretty cool new jazz club on main st. called Charline's. Fun shooting and awesome music is a pretty sweet combo.

Met up with Rob again for the first time in a while. Seems like I've known him as long as I've lived in Ventura. Cool but crazy; he probably has more hardware holding him together than bones, and still bombs down hills like a madman.

Lately I've been frequenting local machine shops and a boxing gym in Oxnard when my shutter finger gets restless. As it turns out, it's the same gym Fernando Vargas (who lost to Oscar De La Hoya and dropped out of the sport) used to train at, which is pretty cool since he was my favorite professional boxer for a time before he let fame go to his head.

This is the doc Julia and I just finished making. It's an art film about art, and its relationship to humanity. It's a bit out there, but way fun to shoot and edit. Enjoy!
